Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp sweet smoked paprika powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp curry powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
Method
- Let’s start by heating up the skillet. It has to be hot for the best results and so the chicken doesn’t stick.
- Mix all the spices in a bowl and rub the spice mix onto the chicken.
- Once the skillet is hot, add the olive oil and put the chicken in the pan.
Tip: a good drizzle of olive oil is enough. The pan should be shiny, not filled with oil. We are grilling, not frying. - One of the most important things is to let the chicken grill! Don’t be in a hurry to flip it: the chicken is ready to flip once it no longer sticks.
- The cooking time depends on how thick the chicken is. It usually takes me about 3–5 minutes per side.
- When it’s almost done, take it out of the pan and wrap it in aluminium foil. Let it rest for about 10 minutes.
- Now dish it up! To make it a meal, check out some of the side dishes.
