Delicious chocolate chip cookies as made in my family! the are great for really any occasion or just a great little sweet treat :)

chocolate chip cookies
  • 1 1/2 cups softend unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 4 cups all purpose flower
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips (you can use any chocolate you may like!)

    Pre-heat the oven to 375 F

    In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat the butter until creamy, add the sugar and mix until completly combined. Now add the eggs, vanilla and combine.

    In a seperate bowl mix the dry ingredients (flower, baking soda and salt) add this to the butter, sugar and egg mixture.

    Once everything in combined mix in the chocolate chips.

    Use a spoon to scoop the cookie dough onto the baking sheet, place the cookies about 2 inches apart and flatten.

    I like using a ice cream scoop!

    Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes or until light golden brown, let them cool down a minute before taking them out of the oven.
