Romige yoghurtdip met verse munt

Light homemade ranch dressing

This homemade ranch is great for dips and dressings! It’s easy to make with ingredients you probably already have, and this version is healthier, lighter and has more protein.

This homemade ranch is great for dips and dressings! The recipe is easy to make with ingredients that you probably already have on hand.

But this recipe is healthier, lighter and has more protein, so you can enjoy as much as you like!

I used to miss ranch dressing here in the Netherlands; the ‘ranch’ dressing you can buy in the store here just doesn’t hit the spot. This dressing is tangy, creamy and fresh!

Enjoy this recipe from anywhere in the world!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup skimmed milk
  • 1 cup fat-free Greek yoghurt
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice (you can use store-bought as well)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp fresh dill, packed
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, packed
  • 1 tsp fresh chives, packed
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • A dash of freshly ground salt and pepper

Method

  1. Combine and mix all the wet ingredients.
  2. Chop the fresh herbs and measure them.
  3. Add the herbs and spices to the wet ingredients.
  4. And that’s it! Use it right away, or let it sit in the fridge so the flavours can blend for an even better taste!

Brynn’s tips

For this recipe you can also use dried herbs; just halve the amount.

I like to use this recipe for just about every occasion, and everybody always loves it!

Did you know you can make it spicy? Just add a tablespoon of any hot sauce you like.

Tip: tap an ingredient or step to tick it off while you cook.
